Opeoluwa O. Adegbuyi
Leads the firm's Global Mobility & Immigration practice — business, investor, and family-based immigration.
Opeoluwa O. Adegbuyi leads SOLOMON | ARIEH's Global Mobility & Immigration practice, where she helps businesses, professionals, investors, entrepreneurs, and families navigate the increasingly complex intersection of immigration law, global talent, and opportunity.
With more than a decade of experience working in immigration matters, Opeoluwa brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to helping clients move people, talent, and opportunity across borders. Her practice includes employment- and business-based immigration, talent mobility, investor and treaty visas, permanent residence strategies, family-based immigration, and related immigration counseling. She works with employers and internationally mobile professionals to develop strategies tailored to both immediate immigration needs and longer-term business and personal objectives.
Opeoluwa's academic record reflects the intellectual rigor she brings to her practice. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, graduating with distinction. While in law school, she served as both Assistant Managing Editor and Research Editor of the American Indian Law Review and was named to the Dean's Honor Roll for five consecutive semesters. She was also awarded the David L. Boren and Molly Shi Boren Public Interest Fellowship and an OU Law Merit Scholarship.
Her education extends beyond the law. Opeoluwa earned a Master of Education from Oklahoma State University with a 4.0 GPA and previously earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma with distinction. This combination of legal training, advanced education, and a background in journalism informs a communication style focused on making complicated legal issues understandable and actionable.
Before joining SOLOMON | ARIEH, Opeoluwa developed a diverse practice spanning immigration, business and regulatory matters. Her experience has included counseling clients on immigration issues, advising businesses regarding regulatory compliance, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, and managing complex client matters.
Her academic and research experience is also substantial. During law school, Opeoluwa served as a Library Reference Assistant at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, conducting extensive legal research for professors and preparing memoranda and legal summaries. She later served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Oklahoma State University Writing Center, working with undergraduate and graduate students to strengthen written analysis, organization, argument, and communication.
At SOLOMON | ARIEH, Opeoluwa approaches immigration as more than a filing process. For a company, immigration can determine whether it can recruit, retain, and deploy critical talent. For an entrepreneur or investor, it can determine whether an opportunity can move forward. And for an individual or family, the consequences are deeply personal. Her role is to understand the objective first and then develop the legal strategy for reaching it.
As part of SOLOMON | ARIEH's broader international platform, Opeoluwa also helps clients coordinate immigration and global mobility needs that extend beyond a single jurisdiction, connecting clients with the Firm's network of trusted professionals when a matter requires capabilities outside the United States.
